Via - Strategy & Operations Principal/General Manager

Role Overview:
Manage daily operations of Via's intermodal transit service for partner organizations. Lead on-site teams while developing operational processes and maintaining relationships with drivers, customers, and community stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Location:
On-site position managing local transit operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of transit service including real-time issue resolution for drivers and dispatchers
- Lead and mentor on-site team of dispatchers and shift managers
- Develop relationships with driver partners, customers, community leaders, and local organizations
- Prepare operational reports and analyze data to improve processes and maximize efficiency
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company policies and regulations
- Establish clear performance metrics and provide weekly visibility into KPI results
- Coordinate closely with senior management and external partners on service delivery
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 6-10 years operations management experience
- Proven track record managing and developing support teams for 3-5 years in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication skills with ability to adapt tone for different stakeholders
- Detail-oriented execution skills with ability to operate autonomously
- Experience managing multiple tasks simultaneously while delegating and prioritizing effectively
- Problem-solving mindset with focus on creative solutions and process improvement
- Commitment to delivering customer service excellence
Compensation & Benefits:
$130,000-$165,000 annually
