Role Overview: Build and maintain live transcription and call recording systems that enable reliable, real-time communication during emergencies. Architect and develop integrated SIP-based systems with focus on reliability, scalability, and security while developing tooling and observability solutions.

Location: Remote position with occasional in-person collaboration requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive architecture, development, and deployment of new features for SIP and voice-centric applications including transcription solutions
• Lead strategic architectural decisions and optimize applications for performance, scalability, and accessibility
• Prototype and test new VoIP features to evaluate feasibility and identify system-wide performance improvements
• Ensure reliability and performance of voice infrastructure by monitoring device health across large-scale distributed deployments
• Collaborate with Product team and engineers to design solutions for critical public safety and B2B data partner challenges
• Implement software development best practices including comprehensive testing, monitoring, and detailed specifications
• Participate in code reviews and standups while contributing to continuous improvement of team processes

Qualifications:

• 7+ years software engineering experience with 4+ years VoIP/SIP experience
• Experience developing VoIP, SIP, and Real Time Communication services
• Proficiency in Linux-based solutions using Python, Go, or C/C++
• Understanding of network protocols and environments using Wireshark, SIPp, libpcap, and BSD socket programming
• Experience scaling solutions with automated testing tools and frameworks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with collaborative approach
• Self-motivated with ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environment
• AWS experience and Python proficiency preferred

Compensation & Benefits: $165,000-$185,000 base salary plus equity options Competitive benefits package in dynamic startup environment
