GovOS - Product Manager

GovOS provides transaction and compliance software for state and local governments, serving over 800 government agencies across the United States with cloud-based solutions for property, licensing, and tax interactions.
Role Overview:
Product Manager will manage the product journey for License & Registration and Tax & Compliance product suites, creating user experiences for government customers and constituents filing taxes, applying for licenses, and making payments. Success measured through revenue growth and timely feature execution.
Location:
Remote position with state restrictions (most states available).
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze complex problems and propose solutions that account for cross-product effects
- Break down large projects into prioritized implementation steps working with Product and Engineering Leadership
- Draft user stories and coordinate with UX, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Experience teams
- Plan releases and manage User Acceptance Testing processes with clients
- Own product roadmap, create stakeholder buy-in, and manage solutions throughout the business
- Initiate and run user discovery and acceptance testing meetings with clients and end users
- Work with Engineering to plan sprints and quarters while grooming product backlog
- Establish and report monthly product metrics to track progress toward quarterly and yearly goals
Qualifications:
- 4+ years software Product Management experience leading product changes
- Experience building system of record platforms in cloud environments supporting diverse user needs
- Experience with APIs, microservice architecture, and standardizing formats for different use cases
- Experience building marketplace portals with two-sided user interactions and different tool sets
- Proficiency with sprint planning and roadmapping software like Jira
- Strong analytical skills with ability to use data to support recommendations and drive decisions
- Accounting, banking, government finance, or tax industry experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
$130,000 - $150,000 annually plus bonus
