Role Overview:
Senior Autonomy Technical Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams in autonomous driving integration testing and feature tracking while coordinating technical implementation across autonomy, engineering, and operations functions. This hybrid role involves managing complex technical projects and ensuring seamless integration of autonomous vehicle features.
Location:
Hybrid position based in Ann Arbor, Michigan with moderate travel (11-25%) to integration event sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work cross-functionally with autonomy, engineering, product, and operations teams to scope, plan, and track integration testing
- Understand technical implementation at architectural level with focus on integration testing strategies and execution
- Remove obstacles and drive momentum in integration testing efforts while identifying communication and schedule gaps
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to drive alignment with product vision
- Lead autonomy engineering teams to build tools and processes for risk identification and product delivery coordination
- Consolidate input from multiple teams to produce project work plans, procurement requests, and program documentation
- Coordinate workshops with partners and provide regular status updates on integration testing progress
- Drive data-driven decision making and communicate effectively between development and production teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with Engineering, Computer Science, or technical degree preferred
- 2+ years experience as engineer or in project management including team management and risk management
- Understanding of software and hardware development lifecycles, ML features, and AI product development
- Knowledge of integration processes and test validation complexity with emphasis on SDLC
- Strong initiative with ability to take on challenges and lead teams without direct reports
- Experience with autonomous vehicle industry and startup environments preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
$152,000 - $180,000 annually
