About TextMyGov: TextMyGov is a fast-growing Software as a Service (SaaS) startup that specializes in providing government agencies with smart-texting software to connect with their communities. We have over 800 customers nationwide and are growing, helping government agencies modernize communication with their residents through automated texting solutions.
Role Overview: You will reach out to potential clients, build relationships, and set up meetings to demonstrate the benefits of our software as a motivated Sales Development Representative. SDRs are vital in building rapport with new customers and uncovering their unique needs, with opportunities to collaborate and learn from other SDRs, Account Executives, and sales managers. We want you to succeed and offer training and support to help develop your sales skills, with a clear path to advance to an Account Executive role for those interested in growing within the company and building a career in software sales.
Location: In-office in Logan, Utah
Key Responsibilities:
- Make 75-95 cold calls daily to government agencies
- Identify and qualify leads through effective communication
- Schedule demos for Account Executives
- Collaborate with sales team to meet and exceed targets
- Maintain accurate records of activities in CRM (Pipedrive)
- Demonstrate strong desire to learn and grow within the organization
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills
- Comfortable making high volume of calls
- Open to feedback and eager to learn - coachability is essential
- High energy, self-motivated, and results-oriented
- Able to thrive in fast-paced startup environment
- Sales or customer-facing experience is a plus
- CRM experience is a plus
Compensation & Benefits: $15 - $17/hour base pay + $10-$20 demo set bonus + 7%-10% commission on ARR on closed deals + potential monthly bonus Health, dental, vision, and life insurance, paid maternity and paternity leave after 12 months, Roth IRA contribution matching program, and free snacks & drinks. Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-3:00 PM or 7:00 AM-4:00 PM.
