TextMyGov - Sales Development Representative

About TextMyGov: TextMyGov provides smart-texting software solutions to over 800 government agencies nationwide, enabling municipalities to communicate effectively with their communities through text messaging while maintaining FOIA compliance.

Role Overview: Generate new business opportunities by prospecting government agencies and scheduling product demonstrations. This entry-level sales position offers clear advancement opportunities to Account Executive roles within the organization.

Location: In-office position in Logan, Utah.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct 75-95 cold calls daily to government agencies to identify potential clients
  • Qualify leads through effective communication and needs assessment
  • Schedule product demonstrations for Account Executives with qualified prospects
  • Maintain accurate prospect and activity records in CRM system (Pipedrive)
  • Collaborate with sales team to meet monthly and quarterly targets
  • Participate in ongoing sales training and professional development programs

Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal communication skills with ability to engage government decision-makers
  • Comfortable making high volume of outbound calls in fast-paced environment
  • Coachable attitude with eagerness to learn sales techniques and product knowledge
  • Self-motivated with results-oriented approach to daily activities
  • Previous sales or customer service experience preferred
  • CRM system experience preferred but not required

Compensation & Benefits: $16-17 per hour base pay plus commission (7-10% on closed deals) and demo bonuses ($20 per completed demo) Health, dental, vision, and life insurance; Roth IRA matching; paid parental leave after 12 months
