Role Overview:
The Site Reliability Engineer will be part of a high-impact Cloud Engineering & Operations team ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability of government SaaS offerings. This strategic role involves applying software engineering principles to system reliability while leading platform modernization and containerization efforts.

Remote work environment with cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute platform modernization and refactoring projects aligned with CI/CD best practices and strategic goals
- Drive full containerization of the Accela platform including orchestration using Kubernetes or similar technologies
- Improve system reliability, scalability, and efficiency through automation and infrastructure code development
- Ensure availability, performance, and security of cloud services through proactive engineering and operational excellence
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers while fostering continuous learning culture
- Perform deep troubleshooting during production incidents and conduct root cause analysis with long-term corrective actions
Qualifications:
- 10+ years in software engineering or production systems engineering, preferably in SaaS environment
- Proven leadership in platform modernization and containerized architecture experience with Kubernetes
- Deep experience with Azure cloud services and infrastructure including CLI/API usage
- Strong command of Git/GitHub and version control best practices
- Expertise in troubleshooting complex, distributed systems and Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform
- Experience with Ansible or configuration management tools and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Ruby, or Go
Compensation & Benefits:
$170,000 - $190,000 annually plus annual bonus eligibility
