Nava - Deputy Program Manager / Principal Project Manager

Role Overview:
You will drive and support one of Nava's key strategic programs with an external customer, working closely with the Program Manager to create transparent reporting systems, quality control measures, and execution plans. This senior leadership role requires both technical and advanced project management skills with a proven track record leading subordinate project management teams across Agile and Waterfall delivery frameworks.
Location:
Remote-first (must reside in specified states) with approximately 25% travel to New Jersey for onsite client meetings and engagements
Key Responsibilities:
- Support contract Program Manager to lead cross-functional delivery teams of design, product, engineering, and project management
- Organize, direct, and manage contract operations support functions in support of the contract program manager
- Maintain responsibility for budget, financial execution, and forecasting for the program
- Directly lead Project Management team supporting Agile delivery framework for 9 scrum teams
- Develop, track, and report against all program-level milestones in Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for parallel delivery efforts
- Develop and track transparent delivery performance metrics for internal and external stakeholders
- Develop reporting artifacts and escalation channels for risks and opportunities
- Establish integrated dashboards for real-time status reporting
- Implement and manage change management plan for the contract
- Support Program Manager and Director of Project Management with additional duties as needed
Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of managing IT implementation projects
- Bachelor of Science/Arts degree (or 15 years of experience in lieu of degree)
- Technical skills in Agile Delivery Framework, P&L Management, Change and Quality Management
- Experience with Jira/Atlassian Products, GitHub, Mural, Visio, Google Suite
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- May be subject to government background check or security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of direct IT Project Management experience
- PMI PMP Certification
- 2-3 years platform implementation/deprecation experience
- 5 years of experience with risks, opportunities, issues, and change management
- B.S. in engineering, computer science, or IT Systems Management
Compensation & Benefits:
$159,300 - $177,000 base salary
