Role Overview:
DevOps Engineer will support ClearGov's SaaS platform by implementing monitoring systems, developing automation solutions, and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, security, and reliability for government clients.
Location:
Remote position with flexible work arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and refine monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, and Grafana/Prometheus
- Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline deployments and system maintenance tasks
- Assist in designing and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure including ECS clusters, Lambda functions, and Aurora databases
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodeBuild and GitHub for automated software releases
- Write and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code templates using Terraform for consistent environment provisioning
- Support deployment of containerized applications using AWS ECS and Docker
- Configure client SSO implementations and troubleshoot user access issues
- Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve infrastructure and deployment issues
Qualifications:
- 1+ years experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related software engineering roles
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including ECS, Lambda, Aurora, and CloudWatch
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline tools such as AWS CodeBuild, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Understanding of containerization using Docker and container orchestration platforms
- Knowledge of MySQL or relational databases with ability to write SQL queries
- Programming experience with Node.js or similar languages for automation scripts
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
Compensation & Benefits:
$95,000 - $110,000 annually
