About RapidSOS: RapidSOS operates an intelligent safety platform connecting life-saving data from 600M+ devices to over 22,000 public safety agencies in six countries, specializing in emergency response technology and data integration for government agencies.

Role Overview: The Corporate Communications Director will define and execute communications strategy across all audiences, working directly with the CEO and executive team to lead communications efforts, manage external agency partnerships, and develop brand messaging for media, events, and stakeholder engagement.

Location: NYC area preferred, with remote, on-site, or hybrid work arrangements available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute corporate communications and PR strategies for earned and owned media across target audiences
• Manage communications agency partnerships and coordinate media calendar and crisis communication responses
• Lead executive communications program featuring key executives to support business development and brand awareness
• Serve as company spokesperson during events and media correspondence while building media relationships
• Work closely with CEO to identify external opportunities and provide support tools for meetings, presentations, and events
• Collaborate with internal and external resources to craft compelling narratives and maintain consistent messaging framework

Qualifications:

• 8-10 years of experience in Communications, PR, or related field with demonstrated media relations expertise
• Proven storytelling abilities with experience modernizing communications through social media, video, photography, and non-traditional media placement
• Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Experience working with technology SaaS, AI, or public safety sectors preferred
• Exceptional attention to detail with polished visual, written, and oral presentation skills
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical execution and work effectively in fast-paced startup environment

Compensation & Benefits: $155,000 - $175,000 annually plus equity options Competitive benefits package in dynamic technology environment.
