Role Overview: You will lead a team of 6 engineers to build scalable fullstack systems for government partners, designing and implementing services that millions of Americans depend on. This role focuses on modernizing legacy enterprise platforms to improve public-facing processes through end-to-end system development from strategy through post-production support.

Location: Remote position available in: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, DC, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of 6 engineers in agile development practices
  • Collaborate with government partners and contractors to architect and deploy new systems
  • Design, review, and build fullstack software solutions using modern technologies
  • Create tools and processes to automate development, testing, and production workflows
  • Participate in on-call rotation for production system support and issue investigation
  • Conduct technical documentation and code reviews
  • Support hiring activities including interviews and referrals

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in agile, multidisciplinary team environments building large-scale cloud platforms
  • 3+ years of engineering team leadership and mentoring experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience
  • Experience building large-scale data services with FHIR/HL7 in healthcare systems
  • Proficiency with Angular, TypeScript, Storybook, Go, Java, Spring Boot, Python, and OpenAPI
  • Experience with big data technologies including Apache Spark and Databricks
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking around technical trade-offs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

Compensation & Benefits: $135,900 - $153,000 annually Comprehensive health coverage, 401(k) match (4%), annual performance bonus, parental leave, sabbatical leave after continuous service, and professional development budget.
