Nava - Software Engineer (Healthcare Focus)

Role Overview: Software Engineer will design, review, and build software solutions for government healthcare systems. The role involves collaborating with government partners and contractors to architect, implement, and deploy new systems while participating in agile development processes and on-call rotations.

Location: Remote position available in 30 specified states (AL, AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, LA, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MO, NV, NC, NJ, NY, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, TX, TN, UT, VA, WA, WI).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and implement code with local testing to ensure acceptance criteria are met
  • Create technical specifications for new functionality and features
  • Review pull requests and provide collaborative feedback to teammates
  • Participate in engineering huddles, standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Interface with clients to provide project updates and propose technical solutions

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years experience developing software in team environments, preferably distributed systems
  • Strong healthcare industry experience with deep knowledge of FHIR standards
  • Experience with Smart on FHIR standards for healthcare application development
  • Current experience developing API endpoints with Java or Python
  • Backend or full-stack backend engineering background
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset

Compensation & Benefits: $120,600 - $135,900 annually
