Role Overview: Software Engineer on the Data Production team will design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure and services that power Replica's data production and simulation pipelines. The role involves building real-time traffic products and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy data products at nationwide scale.

Location: San Francisco, New York, or Kansas City (office-based or remote options available).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain data infrastructure and services that form the foundation of Replica's software platform
  • Design and build ingestion, processing, and delivery frameworks for real-time traffic products
  • Collaborate with Product, R&D, and Data Management teams to implement data products including Trends, Places, and Scenario applications
  • Participate in on-call rotation to investigate and resolve production issues
  • Write and review code, develop documentation, and debug complex system problems
  • Automate manual processes and implement engineering best practices for production environments

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years experience with infrastructure design and implementation
  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems, containerized workloads, and real-time data processing
  • Familiarity with big data frameworks (Hadoop, BigQuery, Dask, Spark, Kafka)
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for complex systems
  • Experience with Python, Java, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform preferred

Compensation & Benefits: $178,000 - $195,800 annually
