Role Overview: Senior Site Reliability Engineer will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of government-focused services. The role involves building and maintaining robust infrastructure, automating processes, and implementing site reliability best practices while providing on-call production support.

Location: Remote position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide production support according to team on-call rotation schedule
  • Monitor and maintain system health and performance of services and infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline operations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes
  • Design and implement system improvements to enhance reliability and scalability
  • Collaborate with software engineers on application requirements and deployment processes
  • Create and maintain documentation for processes and troubleshooting guides
  • Participate in capacity planning activities to anticipate future infrastructure needs
  • Implement security best practices to protect systems and data

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in site reliability engineering, system administration, or similar role
  • Proven track record managing large-scale, high-availability systems
  • Expertise in Linux/Unix systems and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Ruby) and programming (Go, Java, C++)
  • Experience with ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for logging and monitoring
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
  • AI/ML infrastructure experience including model deployment and AWS Bedrock preferred
  • Cloud certifications (AWS DevOps Engineer, GCP Professional DevOps Engineer) preferred

Compensation & Benefits: $70,000 - $80,000 base salary plus bonus
