Role Overview: Lead product development for transit dispatch platform serving public sector agencies, extending capabilities from on-demand services to paratransit, school transportation, and fixed-route systems. Focus on building accessible solutions for special needs populations while helping agencies achieve equitable transportation goals.

Location: New York, New York

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead product strategy for extending Via's transit dispatch platform to paratransit, school buses, and fixed-route services
  • Design features for special needs populations including paratransit riders, students, and caregivers with focus on accessibility
  • Develop products that manage rides based on rider eligibility, special conditions, and disability accommodations
  • Support agency funding efforts through proper reporting, billing, and system transparency features
  • Build short and long-term product roadmap integrating customer feedback, data analysis, and strategic initiatives
  • Partner with engineering teams on quarterly planning and technical roadmap development
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders across different time zones to guide prioritization and ensure impactful development

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years Product Management experience in B2C or B2B SaaS products
  • Demonstrated success managing end-to-end product lifecycle from planning through launch
  • Strong analytical abilities and business acumen with data-driven decision making approach
  • Experience balancing MVP delivery with commitment to quality product development
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
  • MBA preferred; experience in public transit, mapping, or accessibility applications advantageous
