Role Overview: You will drive SimpliGov's growth in key regional markets, focusing on State agencies and departments as SimpliGov expands its national sales team. This vital role drives digital transformation within the public sector through our innovative platform, strengthening regional presence through direct contribution, representing SimpliGov at local industry events, and building local partner networks. While currently targeting State Agencies & large Cities & Counties in the Central territory, we're open to considering candidates from other locations across the United States.

Location: Central territory preferred, open to other US locations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage complete sales process from prospecting and qualifying leads to closing deals and achieving revenue targets
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through consultative solution sales process, ensuring high satisfaction and retention
  • Work closely with SimpliGov's Customer Success, Operations, and Executive teams to provide account management to existing territory
  • Track customer information, forecasts, and reports using Salesforce, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
  • Build and maintain prospect and customer list using strategic marketing data and other sources for sales leads
  • Maintain robust sales pipeline to ensure consistent achievement of quarterly and annual targets
  • Represent SimpliGov at local industry events and build local partner networks
  • Work extensively at executive level to develop relationships and drive enterprise sales

Qualifications:

  • At least 5+ years of quota-carrying SaaS experience, with focus on public sector sales at state, local, or federal level; enterprise sales highly preferred
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technical knowledge of Content Services Platforms (CSP) and/or Intelligent Process Management (IPM), particularly in workflow automation and forms management
  • Hunter sales mentality with strong desire to be successful
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and confident with proactive approach to prospecting to build and maintain healthy pipeline
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced dynamic environment with strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to develop relationships and work extensively at executive level
  • Enthusiasm about working in startup environment and contributing to digital transformation of public sector

Compensation & Benefits: $150,000 - $180,000 base salary + bonus + benefits (50/50 split) Commissions, bonus accelerators, and reasonable targets.
