Role Overview: We are seeking a Lead Simulation Engineer to guide our Product Safety team in developing and implementing comprehensive simulation testing for autonomous driving software. The successful candidate will play a critical role in validating and improving our autonomous vehicle technology's performance and safety.

Location: Based in Ann Arbor, Michigan (moderate travel required: 11-25%)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of engineers in developing simulation tests for autonomous driving software
• Collaborate with systems, safety, testing, and autonomy engineering teams
• Analyze simulation results to identify performance trends and potential improvements
• Develop methods for evaluating simulation performance against safety indicators
• Establish and oversee high-quality simulation development processes
• Coordinate testing and validation across teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• 5+ years of automotive testing experience
• 2+ years of autonomous driving simulation experience
• Proficiency in coding languages (Java/Python)
• Strong understanding of autonomous driving technology
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to adapt to changing simulation requirements

Desirable Skills:

• Experience testing autonomous or robotic systems
• Knowledge of Linux-based operating systems
• Familiarity with autonomous vehicle safety standards
• Experience with Applied Intuition simulation software

Compensation & Benefits: Salary Range: $150,000 - $188,000 Benefits include:
