About gWorks: gWorks provides cloud-based solutions for government financial accounting, utility billing, GIS, asset management, and citizen engagement to local governments nationwide.

Role Overview: Director of Product Management will own strategy and execution for the entire gWorks Cloud platform while leading a team of 5-6 Product Owners and 2 Business Analysts. The role reports to the Chief Product and Technology Officer and focuses on aligning cross-functional teams around unified product vision and delivery.

Location: Hybrid position in Omaha, NE (Tuesdays/Thursdays in-office) or remote anywhere in the US.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and champion cohesive product vision aligned with company goals and market needs
  • Lead and mentor team of Product Owners and Business Analysts with clear expectations and accountability
  • Oversee full product lifecycle across multiple product hubs from concept to release
  • Drive cross-functional alignment between Product, Engineering, Client Success, Sales, and Marketing teams
  • Build consistent product operations including sprint rhythms, roadmap planning, and KPI tracking
  • Ensure client feedback and usage data guide product decision-making processes
  • Partner with executive leadership on roadmap priorities and platform messaging
  • Advocate for solutions that deliver value to local government clients

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years product management experience with 3+ years leading product teams
  • SaaS experience required; GovTech experience preferred
  • Proven success managing multi-product platform or ecosystem
  • Strong people leadership and team development experience
  • Experience with Agile and iterative development practices
  • Strategic mindset with ability to navigate ambiguity and align stakeholders
  • Experience working across engineering, UX, sales, and customer teams
  • Platform-level infrastructure or shared architecture experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits: $130,000 - $155,000 base salary plus performance-based bonus
