Role Overview:
You will develop end-to-end data systems for government partners, modernizing legacy enterprise platforms to improve public-facing processes. This role involves building scalable data pipelines and ecosystems that enable users to access government programs and services in real-time.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop scalable data ingestion and processing pipelines for government systems
- Implement large-scale data ecosystems within cloud platforms with data governance
- Work with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Design, develop, test, and deploy data engineering solutions on AWS
- Build data integrations using API and file-based protocols
- Develop automated testing, monitoring, alerting, and CI/CD for production systems
- Maintain security and privacy standards throughout all data pipeline aspects
- Participate in software design and code reviews
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of data engineering experience
- 2+ years of cloud data architecture experience (AWS preferred) and big data technologies
- Experience with AWS services including Glue, Athena, Redshift, and RDS
- Proficiency with Databricks or Spark and building ETL/ELT pipelines in Python
- Advanced SQL and relational database expertise
- Experience with data cleaning, modeling, and protecting sensitive data
- Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking around technical trade-offs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Compensation & Benefits:
$135,900 - $153,000 annually
