Sioux Area Metro is South Dakota's largest transportation provider, focused on providing safe and reliable transportation options for the Sioux Falls community.
Role Overview:
Maintain and upkeep SAM's transportation facilities and properties. Perform cleaning, maintenance, and light construction tasks to support transit operations with on-the-job training provided.
Location:
Sioux Falls, South Dakota with in-person application required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean buses, bus shelters, and transportation facility buildings
- Maintain buildings and grounds including general landscaping and yard work
- Perform light building maintenance tasks requiring basic trade skills
- Support facility operations through various maintenance activities as assigned
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, carpentry, and plumbing systems
- Valid South Dakota driver's license with ability to obtain CDL permit
- Minimum age of 21 years with ability to pass pre-employment physical
- Clean background check with no felonies, DUI/DWI, or reckless driving convictions
- No more than 2 speeding tickets and clean motor vehicle record
- Must pass drug screening and background investigation
Compensation & Benefits:
$21.70 per hour
