Role Overview:
Ensure safety, service quality, and operational efficiency for transit services through field supervision and driver training. Manage on-road performance, incident response, and compliance with safety standards in a dynamic operational environment.
Location:
In-person field position requiring 2-5 days per week on-site supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-road supervision including ride-alongs and performance monitoring to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Monitor driver interactions and safety protocol adherence while providing coaching and feedback
- Partner with Field Manager to deliver continuous training including initial, remedial, and refresher courses
- Lead post-accident and incident protocols serving as Designated Employer Representative for DOT compliance
- Respond to urgent operational issues and implement real-time solutions for service continuity
- Review complaint reports, driver feedback, and training documentation to assess improvement needs
Qualifications:
- Experience in transit supervision, transportation management, or similar field preferred
- Strong leadership abilities with driver mentoring and guidance capabilities
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to make effective decisions in dynamic situations
- Strong communication skills for feedback delivery and conflict resolution
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
$20-25 per hour
20-30 hours per week including weekend coverage (Saturday and Sunday 2:30pm-11:30pm)
